Our Background
Kent Electrical Services is a 100% black owned and managed electrical company established in 2008. The company is governed by the Electrical Standards set out by Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) and Electrical Contractors Board (ECB), whom Kent is a member of. We meet all the criteria as set out on the standard Rules and regulation requirements, as specified and approved by our clients — based on our SHEQ Management System.
Kent Electrical Services was originally set up in 2008 to provide electrical services to the then emerging black entrepreneurs and town councils within the Gauteng area. Kent has and is still doing work for CITY POWER, SASOL, ESKOM, MAZIYA GENERAL SERVICES, and other major engineering companies in Johannesburg and surrounding provinces. We provide turnkey solutions in the industry of Electrical Services, Telecommunication, Oil Purification plants, Installation of Geysers for Tasol and Warehousing and Distribution.
Recently added to the company portfolio is Warehousing and Distribution facilities management. One of our Warehouses is occupied by Coca Cola as a depot for the distribution of their product. We also specialize in Roofing, supply and installation. We have started an entity which manufacture, supply and install-steelworks, i.e., palisade fencing and gates; Bakery-we want to supply the Department of Correctional Services, and are setting up the bakery presently and have purchased some bakery equipment; Cool rooms manufacturing of ice to supply Coca Cola and other small and medium enterprises. We have already employed staff and are expanding in all fields of services rendered toour clients.
Kent’s mission is to provide excellent services that will meet the needs of the traditional and emerging markets, with primary impetus on Electrical Services, Telecommunication, Solar Panel Geysers, Warehousing and Distribution, Oil Purification, Bakery (Bread supplies), Steel Fabrication (Fencing, gates and roofing), Cool rooms for manufacturing and supply of Ice cubes

Our Employment Equity Executive Management
The Executive Management team comprises of dynamic individuals with a combined experience of more than 30 years in the electrical industry. Utilizing management expertise, Quality Management System (ISO 9001 QMS) and implemented and operated processes and procedures based on an ISO 14001 and 18001 Management System. Kent’s Management team has achieved strong leveraged growth over the years. Our Management team recognizes that values of maintaining professional and mutually beneficial relationships with all our clients and business associates.
The Executive Management Team Mr. Joseph Louw — CEO. Mr. Louw has extensive experience in the electrical industry. He held several positions within the employment of Eskom SA. He established and shared joint ownership (50%) in JMS Advanced Projects — who served as a contractor for Eskom and City Power. He then ventured on his own and established KENT Electrical Services, who is currently still doing projects for Eskom SA, City Power, Lufhereng Development Company, CALGRO M3, Coca Cola, Telkom SA (Huawei) and newly appointed contractor for SASOL SA (Pty) Ltd, but a few amongst the many other clients. He obtained his electrical qualifications and worked for Eskom.
Our Market Focus
Kent’s market focus is on the following sectors in view of creating jobs for the unemployed and so assist in job creation.
Electrical Services — Professional Service Provider, providing electrical services from medium to larger organizations. We are currently doing Electrical Maintenance for all the SASOL Satellite offices. We have completed and are presently busy with various electrical projects for City Power, Eskom and Lufhereng Dev. Company.
Installation of Substation: Vast experience and qualified teams for Installation of a Substation. Work was done for City Power — Installation of Kew Substation. Installation of a substation in Vryburg – Motla Contract. Telecommunication- Telkom SA (Huawei). Telecommunication Maintenance is currently done for SASOL at all their satellite offices in Johannesburg. Solar Panel Geysers – currently do installation of Tasol (Manufacturer for City Power) geysers — see a market for manufacturing, supplying and distribution.
Warehousing and Distribution- Kent owning 4 Warehouses within the Gauteng area. Coca Cola is using one warehouse for the distribution of their Soft drinks and Kent as a distributor for Coca Cola is using one accordingly. (Two warehouses are available). Oil Purification Plants — owned by Kent for the usage of purification of all kinds of oils. Presently engaged at a mine and has done work for Engen. Steel fabrication (Palisade Fencing, etc.) — Kent recently registered and set up a complete warehouse for the steelworks to be done, i.e., steel gates, palisade fencing. We have Calgro M3 as a client and have installed fencing in South hills.
